Who It's For
If you're like many of us, struggling with seeing a way forward in these uncertain times, anxious or overwhelmed and trying to figure out how to respond, coaching might be for you.
You might want:
Help to explore opportunities in the chaos
A completely confidential sounding board
Someone to hold you accountable to your goals
Help with career transition
Help with financial planning
Support dealing with lockdown
To support someone affected or working hard
To figure out how to stay relevant
We have a soft preference toward and high concern for health sector workers and those affected by layoffs, but the service is open to anyone that isn't waiting it out on a luxury yacht.
Who It's Not For
Coaching is not counselling or psychotherapy. We cannot treat chronic anxiety, depression, or any other mental health issue. Nor are we grief or loss counsellors. That said, provided you are receiving adequate support in areas outside our expertise, we may still be able to help. You might also consider:
Employee Assistance (EAP)
Healthline – 0800 611 116 (same in NZ and AUS)
Government COVID-19 Helpline
NZ – 0800 779 997
AUS – 1800 020 080
How It Works - Two Easy Steps
1. Book And Pay Referral Fee
Check out our generous coaches below and make a note of some you think you might like to work with, then click the Book Now link and you'll be taken to a bookings page.
Choose your coach, timezone and meeting time (or choose 'first available'). Confirm and pay the referral fee. Or you can Check Availability of one of our coaches directly below.
You'll receive a confirmation email and an invitation with details to join a Zoom meeting at your scheduled time. Your coach will also receive the invite.
2. Contract With Your Coach
Before or around your first session, your coach will send you a contract. This is between you and your coach and doesn't involve Outbreak Coaches or any of the sponsor organisations. They won't charge for the first three sessions (which in many cases is enough), and you're free to negotiate more sessions or extend the coaching without referring back to us.
Your confirmation email includes a link that allows you to book your subsequent sessions.
Our Generous Coaches
We're choosy about our coaches. They:
Are experienced, credentialed and highly trained
Have personal experience with life's trials and tribulations
Are operating or have operated a professional coaching businesses
Are well briefed on COVID-19 current affairs
Are personally known to us and respected as a coach, or
Have come to us via a highly credible referral

You need clarity, calm and a plan. Stress and overwhelm are everywhere.
You can talk, and I’ll listen. This is a tough time, no doubt. Let's take a load off and breathe and together we can explore what’s possible. I’ve been through some shit storms, and survived. Let's make sure that you do, too.
Too woo? I can also kick ass and eat stress for breakfast. We can do either - you pick.

As a former Chief of Staff at a New York Advertising Agency, Jo has personally experienced the challenges that come from moving into a leadership role and the variety of issues that come up in high level, high-pressure roles. It was in this role of growing a strong team from diverse backgrounds that she realised that although the challenges that came up for everyone were similar, there needed to be an individual process for each person to perform at their best. This realisation led Jo to become an accredited coach with the NeuroLeadership Institute back in 2010. Over the past decade, she has worked and collaborated with all types of companies, teams, and individuals always with the same focus to help people perform at their best and to thrive in their roles.

Your calm rock in a sea of uncertainty and chaos.
9/11 - stuck overseas. SARS - we were all at risk. Earthquakes - seven years of insurance bullshit. And raising a family in the midst of it all. Stress, anxiety, overwhelm - I get it. And now this. Wouldn't it be great if we could push pause for a bit? It turns out we can.
Together we’ll catch breath, step back and explore the possibilities and make a plan for learning and thriving, even now. It’ll be challenging for sure - we won’t leave rocks unturned - but it’ll also be uplifting and fun. You’ll be calmer and much clearer on what matters and what to do next.
